Continual assessment for learning occurs daily in class. This process informs teachers and the children of their next steps in learning. There are summative assessments in phonics, reading writing and maths, of children on a half term basis. Following summative assessment new targets are created for the next half term.
Statutory assessments occur at the end of each key stage and the outcomes are reported to parents. End of foundation stage profiles and end of key stage one statutory assessment. Furthermore a statutory phonics assessment is made at the end of year one and the outcome is also reported to parents.
